The Longest Little Road is the first original fingerstyle guitar song that I wrote. To be honest, I forgot about it and recorded it the moment I remembered it!

I arranged this tune while I was first learning how to play this style. I had watched a Tommy Emmanuel lesson and was just starting to get the hang of using a thumbpick and getting the boom-chick going. This song was inspired by Elizabeth Cotton’s Freight Train and was right around the time I was trying to grasp my head around Borsalino.
This video was recorded off of Las Virgenes Road in Calabasas, California after some much needed rain.
