Coloring in the Open Chords – Key of A

In this lesson we will be looking at how to add color to the open chords in the key of A. We will apply the A major scale and A pentatonic on top of the chords to create melody and harmony.

In this lesson we will be exploring the key of D and how to branch out from using the same ol’ chords. Using the D major scale on top of our chords and adding in some chromatic bass notes, we can really open up even a basic chord progression.
